Built to be fixed.
Designed to last.
Most vending machines trap you in a service contract the moment something breaks. Core-1 is different — every component is designed so a single operator can swap it in under 10 minutes, no electrician, no service call.
Every component swaps in under 10 minutes. No electrician required.
Standard vending machines lock you into service contracts because the only person allowed to fix anything is a licensed technician. Core-1 changes that by design. Every field-replaceable component uses quick-disconnect connectors, keyed connectors, or plug-and-play modules.
| Per-slot motor | <5 min — open door, unplug, slide in new motor, done |
| Shelf controller | <10 min — keyed connector, no tools for most swaps |
| Payment module | <5 min — MDB plug, hot-swap without touching main board |
| Head unit | <15 min — 4 screws, 3 keyed connectors, full swap |
| Display panel | <20 min — ribbon cable, keyed |
Per-shelf failure isolation. If one shelf controller fails, the other four shelves keep running. The machine doesn't go dark — you order the replacement part and swap it when it arrives. Days of downtime aren't part of the model.
Every Core-1 ships with a service kit: spare motor, spare shelf controller, and USB diagnostic cable. You get everything you need to handle the most common failure modes on the spot, without waiting for a technician.
Diagnostic output runs through a USB port on the head unit — plain-text status report, no app, no Bluetooth, no subscription. Plug in the cable, read the output. Know exactly which board has a fault in under a minute.
If you can plug in a toaster, you can replace a Core-1 motor.
Zero wiring experience required. Every connector on the Core-1 is:
| Keyed | Cannot be inserted incorrectly — no risk of reversed polarity |
| Color-coded | By voltage rail — visual confirmation before you connect |
| Quick-disconnect | No soldering, no crimping, no special tools |
| Hot-swappable | Replace without powering down the machine |
The motor connector for a per-slot coil motor uses a standard quick-disconnect. Sourcing a replacement is trivial — they're commodity 24VDC motors available from any electrical supplier. You don't have to order a "Core-1 certified motor" from a proprietary catalog at a markup.
Connectivity is a footnote, not the headline. Core-1 dispenses, processes payments, and displays prices even when it has no network connection. WiFi and cellular are optional operator tools — they let you push price label updates and see inventory remotely. If the link drops, the machine keeps running.
Plug-and-play extends to setup. Power the machine on, walk through the operator onboarding on your phone, stock the slots. No on-site technician, no calibration software, no tools required for the majority of installations.
Real humans. Included with service membership.
Support is built into every service membership. When something genuinely needs hands-on assistance — a diagnosed component failure you can't resolve remotely, a configuration question — you talk to a person who knows the machine.
| Who answers | Operators who know the hardware — not a generic ticket queue |
| Included with | Biweekly Service ($500/yr) or Weekly Service ($2,500/yr) |
| SLA detail | See Membership Agreement — response times by tier |
| Parts sourcing | Direct from Vendors Center at modest margin, or any supplier |
Replacement parts are available direct from Vendors Center at modest margin. Because every component is commodity-based or standard-interface (MDB, RS-485, quick-disconnect), you can also source most items from any electrical or vending supplier — no vendor lock-in on parts.
You own the machine. Core-1 hardware is yours outright — no lease, no financing required beyond the purchase price. Service membership covers support and the optional auto-restock engine. When you own the hardware, you control the maintenance relationship.
Built for people who run machines, not manage vendors.
"We had a motor go out on a Friday afternoon. Swapped it ourselves in under five minutes — back up and selling before the weekend crowd. That's never happened with any other machine we've owned."
"The USB diagnostic port alone is worth it. Every other machine I've owned — you call someone, wait two days, pay a service fee just to find out what broke. Core-1 tells you in thirty seconds."
"Setup was faster than expected. We powered it on, walked through the onboarding on a phone, and had it stocked and running the same day — no technician, no tools."
